What the EMO Hannover 2023 is all about could be experienced at the CHIRON Group booth. Here, the company interpreted the exhibition motto "Innovate Manufacturing" in its own way and presented its comprehensive portfolio for the first time under the globally uniform CHIRON Group brand. This included machine innovations live under chip, a highly variable automation solution and innovative services.
"For us, the EMO Hannover is an absolute must and a highlight in the exhibition calendar. The figures – around 90,000 international visitors from 130 countries - speak for themselves again this year. The response to our innovations was very good, we held in-depth discussions and initiated projects for a wide range of applications. And, also very pleasing, we have established many new contacts," draws CSO Bernd Hilgarth a first positive conclusion.
PERFORMANCE MEETS PRECISION. Meets you!
The CHIRON Group convincingly implemented its own exhibition motto in two ways. On the one hand, in the direct, personal exchange with customers and prospective parties in recording their specific requirements and in pointing out customized manufacturing solutions. On the other hand, states Bernd Hilgarth, "we were able to provide information about everything that makes up the strong CHIRON Group brand and how we perfectly meet the complete spectrum of requirements beyond machining centers.”
Machining highlights in live operation
In recent months, the CHIRON Group has consistently continued its product offensive and presented five machining centers in live operation. An absolute crowd-puller was the DZ 22 S mill turn for flexible, piece-cost-optimized production of small to medium batches, for example of e-motor housings. The next generation of the 15 Series celebrated its premiere with new rotary tables developed in-house and the intuitive Siemens SINUMERIK ONE control. On show was the DZ 15 W with 180° swivel table, two separate workspaces and workpiece changer for efficient milling of large batches. Customers from the medical and precision technology sectors were able to experience highly dynamic and autonomous micromachining in the smallest of spaces on the intelligent combination of the Micro5 machining center and the Feed5 handling system.
Also on the topic of automation, an innovation could be seen live: the VariocellMove for intelligent workpiece handling. The central advantage: The compact robotic cell with inclined pallet system can be flexibly combined with milling and mill-turning centers from the CHIRON Group to form a productive unit.
Innovative services
The experts from the CHIRON Group Service presented the new customer portal myCHIRON with e-shop for fast ordering of spare parts and a new service: Repair, refurbishment and optimization of motor spindles. An innovative offer – already available for Germany, Austria and Switzerland – makes it easy to get started in quality manufacturing: PerformanceFinance, a complete machine financing package including cyclical condition monitoring and comprehensive services. Those who already have a machining center from the CHIRON Group in operation were able to obtain information about an individual refurbishment. Such an "upgrade" makes an existing machining center fit for new manufacturing tasks and not only saves financial resources, but also protects the environment.
Keyword environment: Just in time for the start of the exhibition, the CHIRON Group has published its Sustainability Report 2022. According to CEO Carsten Liske, "we are providing convincing proof that economic performance and sustainability go hand in hand in the long term."
